What is the most quiet motorcycle?

Leisa Brodnex: Almost all motorcycles are quiet from the factory. (They are bound by noise emission standards) Noisy motorcycles are no more safe than quiet ones. The rider's attitude and abilities are much more important for safety. I recommend you buy the bike you like, leave the stock exhaust installed, and take a rider training course.

Violette Vanek: At highway speeds the noise will be mostly coming from the air intake and airbox. To reduce engine noise (and as a consequence exhaust noise) you need to go for large multi-cylinder liquid-cooled engines probably with 6 gears, therefore reducing the need to use high rpm, however they are not the best for beginners and, generally, not cheap.

Joni Ziak: ah, I don't think they make wind powered bikes but you might want to look into it.Just ! cuz you buy a rocket doesn't mean you have to make it loud, and the same for a cruiser, they're all loud because they have such short exhaust systems, but stock exhaust sounds like a breeze through a tree on many rockets. Somer Distilo: Listening to my 2007 R6 rev on the highway at 16,000 rpms is the best part.. dual fuel injectors screaming... it gives me goosebumps/adrenaline rush thinking of it... besides when driving at highway speeds(not on the throttle) the wind noise drowns everything out.. kind of annoying. Vickie Sterbenz: why would you ! want a quiet street bike????often cagers hear a bike before they see it....besides it is fun to rap the throttle beside them if they are yacking away on the cell phone....

Simona Bulwinkle: My Honda VFR is as quiet as your mom's SUV, will slither around tight corners like a snake and will wheelie politely if you ask it to. Some people open up the airbox to make them sound like they eat babies....but not mine.If you think loud pipes save lives, just imagine what learning to ride your bike will do.
