Joeann Hoyt: Please seek counseling and work it out for yourselves :] it'll have a great reward in the end. Especially if you have children
Lucille Saetteurn: Matthew 19:3-9 (cf. Mark 10:2-12; Luke 16:18)Jesus was asked whether divorce can properly be obtained for just any reason a person might have. He answered by appealing to the original marriage law. Jesus taught that divorce itself, in general, is contrary to God's will. God made one man for one woman, indicating He did not intend for either to marry anyone else. He said they should cleave to one another and the two become one - there is no room in God's plan for a third party. God joins the man and woman, no human has the right to break that bond. Further, whoever divorces his wife and marries again commits adultery (unless he does it because she has been guilty of fornication), and whoever marries her who has been divorced also commits adultery. (Mk. 10 adds that this rule also applies to the woman if she div! orces her husband.)To help understand the passage, read it with your name and your spouse's name, instead of "whosoever," etc. Matthew 19:9 - If ____________ (you) divorces __________ (his wife), except for fornication, and marries another, _________________ (you) commits adultery; and whoever marries ___________ (her who is divorced) commits adultery."...Show more
Toshiko Reimers: Every state has what is called "no-fault divorce". It means that if one partner wants out, they can get a divorce. No need for blame or finding ground (ie. "fault").But someone has to pay the lawyer.
Jayson Brod: has the one that wants the divorce explained why they want one and why they are not willing to work things out?provided that working things out will not happen, one person can file for divorce alone provided they have a good enough reason. crap like "he leaves his dirty dishes in the sink" won't fly (I know that's not it, just a stupid example).it varies by state (for example! , Soth Carolina is a common law state, which means everything ! gets split half and half) as to rules and how things will end up, but as I said, if it is a viable reason (such as my reason was irreconcilable differences and adultery) whether it is a joint petition or not eventually the divorce will go through. depending on how hard the other fights it, it may take a while.if you have children, though, it gets infinitely more tangled. custody, parenting plans and all sorts of things, including child impact classes in most states, are required.for more information you can try www.lawguru.com...Show more
Devon Kalberer: The person who doesn't want one has tough luck. If the divorCER has their mind made up, the divorCEE has no choice but to deal with it. It makes the divorce preceedings lengthier and more difficult, but it is still a possibility.
Jene Licausi: Why do you marry someone if you're gonna get divorced? That was stupid.
Francisco Schonhardt: Depends on where you live. Marriage and Divorce laws vary from count! ry to country and state to state. Where I live? You get divorced. It takes two people to get married. Only one to get divorced.
