Jeannine Vassie: No, state funds should only go to medicine that is under constant scrutiny through the scientific method. Alternative medicine is an option that should be reserved for people with the luxury of health and money to explore. Homeopathics will not cure anything!
Shamika Schools: Whether they should or not is a very grey area, but it might be in the best interests of insurance companies given that most alternative medicine is a helluva lot cheaper than state approved meds.Saying that, clients should be given the choice whether to accept the 'alternative alternative'. Travis Colomb: What compelling reason does an insurance company have to shell out money to pay for unregulated, non-FDA approved alternative medicines that may or may not work, when they can just as easily pay for prescription medication that h! as a proven effectiveness?
