Are these good conditions for fog?

Ivan Velazquez: Not optimum conditions. Clear skies and light winds are more favorable. You've got to cool the temperature to the dew point to attain saturation and initiate fog formation.

Will Camus: These are not good conditions for fog b/c...- The wind keeps the lower layers well-mixed with warmer air above the surface layer.- The temperature - dew point spread is not close to zero.- The relative humidity is not close to 100%- The cloud cover inhibits strong radiational cooling necessary to close the temperature - dew point gap and increase the RH....Show more
