Rosalba Lingner: Two of the responses on here show American culture at its worst (I'm British btw). If Philosophy is your passion, then that's what you should study. It's a respected subject, and in the UK at least, a career in the legal profession would still be achievable with a BA in Philosophy.Happygolucky, it's not my fault if my government looks after its citizens better than the US government. The US economy isn't vastly different to that in the UK, and the OP would not be precluding themself from a career in law with a Philosophy degree. To suggest that someone should forego a basic interest in what they study, simply for financial reasons, does indeed show American culture at its worst....Show more
Morris Olexy: A philosophy degree is useless figure out which majors will provide you with an income because in the end why do something and spend $$$$$$$ if you are in the hiring pool with people out of HS?Mark H I am being honest. In the UK your school is much ! much cheaper my dear. And a week ago I would have been as dumb as you but the main breadwinner of my family died unexpedidly and now we have to support my younger siblings and a degree in the oldest's "passion" is BS to us now since we can't pay for shiet. And yes we are all working...Show more
Bruno Galasso: Go for the business school, I'm telling you. It won't matter if they can't cover a double major if you are a lawyer because you can probably pay off student loans within 1-2 years. Trust me don't go for philosophy. My mom did psychology and makes less than $55,000 a year.
Chris Coggins: Philosophy. It's vastly more interesting, and philosophy majors score the highest on the LSAT. It's great preparation for becoming a lawyer, way more so than business school.
